10th Anniversary of My Blog
I started this blog on November 1, 2004. A decade is an eternity in the technology world. If you look at my blog from 2004 you would say it’s so old and outdated (duh!). I am sure you would say the same thing about my blog 10 years from now. I have tried different technologies and platforms over the years but settled on WordPress long time ago and that has been the easiest platform to use for blogging, customizing and backups. In recent years Microsoft decided to support WordPress which made it easy for bloggers to host their blog on Microsoft operating system.
I have made numerous enhancements to my blog in the past 10 years. I have added lots of new categories, updated my template, and the biggest improvement I made was in the Search functionality was the addition of Google search. I have used Google search for long time but it wasn’t very reliable. However, with a new template and a new plugin for Search, finding information has become not just easier but also very reliable. Try it for yourself and tell me what you think. I love to write on technology, especially Microsoft’s technologies. There’s lot to learn and I definitely don’t have all the answers but I do a lot of research and experimentation with the products and services. My teaching and consulting experience helps me keep my knowledge fresh and my writing helps my remember what I learn from my experiences.
I write my blog for you, the readers. If you have any feedback please don’t hesitate to contact me. I get a lot of feedback from my students and business clients in United States who read my blog regularly but I am also interested in feedback from those of you that I don’t know personally, especially readers from other countries.
Cheers!
