Microsoft Certification Roadmaps
There are lots of Microsoft certifications and multiple paths associated with some of the categories. Keeping track of them can be daunting. Luckily, Microsoft has published some roadmaps that are very easy to read. If you haven’t seen these before and you are interested in Microsoft certification paths, these Microsoft certification roadmaps may come handy.
Microsoft Certification Roadmap
The color-coded certification roadmap helps you choose a career and follow the path to that career. For example, if you wanted to become a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) in Windows Server category, you will follow the green path to first pass Microsoft Exam 410 – Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 to earn your Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credentials. Next you will take and pass Exam 411 – Administering Windows Server 2012 and then Exam 412 – Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services. At this point on the road to MCSE you would be granted the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) status. Now you have to decide which of the following three tracks you would like to pursue and based on the track you choose, you will have to pass the exams listed below.
- MCSE Desktop Infrastructure
In addition to 410, 411, and 412, pass exam 415 and 416. - MCSE Server Infrastructure
In addition to 410, 411, and 412, pass exam 413 and 414. - MCSE Private Cloud
In addition to 410, 411, and 412, pass exam 246 and 247.
